Keanu Reeves wanted to play Wolverine and Batman

October 24, 2014 by Gary Collinson

A couple of weeks ago Keanu Reeves expressed his interest in taking on the role of the Sorcerer Supreme in Marvel’s Phase Three offering Doctor Strange, and during a promotional interview for his new film John Wick (which is out in the States today), the actor has revealed to MovieFone that he always had ambitions of portraying two of the biggest names in comic books…

“I always wanted to play Wolverine,” said Reeves. “But I didn’t get that. And they have a great Wolverine now. I always wanted to play The Dark Knight. But I didn’t get that one. They’ve had some great Batmans. So now I’m just enjoying them as an audience.”

Would you like to see Reeves taking on another comic book movie role after Constantine, and how do you think he would have fared as Wolverine or Batman?
