Six new cast members for Marvel’s Daredevil announced

March 11, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Following on from the release of the latest trailer earlier this week [which you can watch here], Marvel has announced details of the supporting cast set to feature alongside Charlie Cox and company in the first Netflix series Daredevil.

The new cast additions are Rob Morgan (Person of Interest) as Turk Barrett, a smalltime criminal who has stolen the armor of several supervillains to battle Daredevil; Matt Gerald (Dexter) as Melvin Potter, a.k.a. Gladiator; Peter Shinkoda (Falling Skies) as Japanese businessman Nobu; Wai Ching Ho (Blue Bloods) as Madame Gao, a powerful woman running her own trade; and Nikolai Nikolaeff (Sea Patrol) and Gideon Emery (How to Train Your Dragon 2) will feature as Vladimir and Anatoly, two Russian brothers looking for forge names for themselves in the States.

“With an already tremendous cast, these six actors help to fully flesh out Matt Murdock’s world and give life to Hell’s Kitchen,” states Executive Producer/Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb. “We’ve been blessed to work with such amazing actors on this series to create a truly remarkable first season.”

“It’s an honor to be working with such a talented and diverse group of artists who vividly bring these characters to life,” adds Executive Producer and Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight. “The challenge in bringing ‘villains’ to the screen is always in portraying them as three-dimensional characters. Our actors exceeded all expectations in this regard, crafting deeply flawed, wonderfully human antagonists.”

Daredevil is set to land on Netflix on April 10th.
