Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord to cameo in other MCU movies

May 19, 2015 by Gavin Logan

Chris Pratt is fast becoming one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood and for good reason. He’s recently been linked with a Ghostbusters reboot – which he has since debunked as bulls**t – and he’s also being rumoured to take over from Harrison Ford in the next Indiana Jones movie. Not to mention that he’s the lead in Jurassic World – which is out this summer and is sure to be a box-office smash – and he’ll be returning to the big screen in James Gunn’s sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy in 2017.

Pratt recently spoke to GQ and had some very interesting things to say about his MCU movie deal. Apparently GOTG won’t be the only Marvel movies he’ll be appearing in:

“…I’m tied to doing three more, or five more, Guardians of the Galaxy… you know, two more Guardians plus another couple…”

With this statement Pratt confirms that a third GOTG movie is already planned but didn’t elaborate on what other MCU projects he might show up in. First thoughts would immediately jump to the next two Avengers movies, Infinity War Part 1 & 2, which are being filmed back-to-back and due for release May 2018 and May 2019. It’s also possible that Star-Lord may even pop up in the stinger for Doctor Strange since that movie will explore the more supernatural and cosmic elements of the MCU. Another long-shot could be the Hulk solo movie that is currently being rumoured to be in development. It’s being speculated that a planned solo movie might focus on the Planet Hulk story-arc and a run in with the Guardians has been rumoured. These are all highly auspicious rumours right now but the reality is that the Avengers will be tackling big bad villain Thanos in Infinity War Part 1 & 2 and will likely need some more help to take him down. Cue Star-Lord and the rest of the Guardians to join in the fight.

What other MCU movies would you like to see Star-Lord appear?
