Rumour: Will Smith’s Deadshot to appear in Batman solo movie

December 10, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Disclaimer: This rumour comes from Latino-Review, so there’s a very real possibility of this being pure speculation…

Still here? Well, according to the site, Suicide Squad star Will Smith is apparently keen on reprising the role of Floyd Lawton – a.k.a. Deadshot – for Warner Bros.’ still-not-officially-announced Batman solo movie.

The rumour claims that Smith is keen for future outings in the DC Extended Universe, and should he join Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight in the film, it would be for a “major role” in a The Good, the Bad and the Ugly-type scenario.

Although a solo Batman movie is absent from Warner’s official DC slate, there’s been a lot of talk that it’s on the cards with Affleck directing. And considering Batman is the crown jewel of Warner’s DC catalogue, it would be a huge surprise if it didn’t happen in the next few years.

Would you like to see Will Smith’s Deadshot appearing in a Batman movie? Let us know in the comments below…
