John Boyega promises Star Wars: Episode VIII will be much darker

Speaking to the UK edition of Vogue magazine, John Boyega briefly touched upon the script for Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII, agreeing with co-star Daisy Ridley that “It’s great”, while also adding that it’s “Much darker, but we’re very excited.”

He also mentions that Finn will have a lot more action, saying “My part in the next film will be much more physical so I might be in the gym a bit more.”‘

Filming has recently just begun on Star Wars: Episode VIII which will see Rian Johnson (Looper) taking over directing duties, and is scheduled to arrive on May 26th 2017. However, we won’t have to wait that long for our next Star Wars movie, with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story set to arrive on December 16th 2016.
