There has been some debate as to where Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker has been in the promotional material for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but after some folk spotted him on set for Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII, everyone assumed the actor would be back for another run as the Jedi Master. Well, now the actor has confirmed it himself.

Hamill confirms that he will be back for Star Wars: Episode VIII after someone asked him about his contractually obligated beard growth. The actor later apologised for “spoiling” his return, but thought it was okay following the aforementioned set photos of his time on the Episode VIII set in Ireland.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set for release on December 17th in the UK and December 18th in the States and sees J.J.
