The film, which has been scripted by Jeremy Slater (Fantastic Four), is set to go into production in June, with Nat Wolff (The Fault in Our Stars) and Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers) attached to star.

Death Note follows “a student (Wolff) who discovers a supernatural notebook that allows him to kill anyone simply by writing the victim’s name. A cat-and-mouse game ensues when he’s tracked by a reclusive police officer.”
