Scarlett Johansson teases Black Widow’s reaction to the Guardians of the Galaxy in Avengers: Infinity War

April 2, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are set to link up with the Guardians of the Galaxy next year as Marvel unleashes Avengers: Infinity War, and speaking to MTV’s Happy Sad Confused podcast to promote her new film Ghost in the Shell, Scarlett Johansson was asked how Black Widow will react to the Guardians and the more unusual members of the team.

“Somebody said to me the other day, they were like: ‘Is Black Widow ready for the Guardians of the Galaxy?’” said Johansson. “The last time aliens descended on New York I think my character was like, ‘Alright, I’ve seen it all. I’m good.’ So I don’t even think like a talking tree will faze her at this point. As long as it feels true to me, then this conversation with another character is fine — even if it’s a tree. But certainly, reading the script, the universe has expanded to a point where it just… It’s like incomprehensible at this point. I’m just like, ‘Okay, this is all happening,’”
