Harley Quinn is heading to Gotham for season 3 finale

May 31, 2017 by Ricky Church

It looks as if fans of Harley Quinn will be seeing much more of her soon outside the Gotham City Sirens and the upcoming Batman and Harley films. The fan favourite character will apparently be making her appearance in the third season finale of Gotham, in preparation for a bigger role in the show’s fourth season.

The news comes from the young Bruce Wayne himself, actor David Mazouz, who revealed the information in an interview with Movie Pilot. Mazouz still played coy about her involvement, but said “She’s going to be in the finale. Stay tuned” when asked about her appearance. A casting announcement hasn’t been made yet, so either the role is a quick mention or they’ve cast Harley in secret.

Whatever her role in the finale is, it will apparently lead to an extended storyline for season four. A few months ago Gotham’s executive producer John Stephens revealed that her appearance in the finale would serve as a “launching pad” for the main plot of the next season. Jerome, the would-be Joker of Gotham, is being held in Arkham Asylum once again so could it be possible we’ll see the pair interact as he morphs her from a promising psychologist to his infatuated sidekick.

Gotham will air its two hour finale – the episodes ‘Destiny Calling’ and ‘Heavydirtysoul’ on June 5. Check out a promo here.
