Gameplay trailer revealed for Injustice 2’s Black Manta

August 28, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Very recently the Fighter Pack 2 DLC was announced for Injustice 2 (see here) and the accompanying trailer briefly introduced us to Raiden, Hellboy and Black Manta.  Now, a new gamplay trailer has been released showing Black Manta in action. Check it out below…

Black Manta is the nemesis of our water themed hero Aquaman and has 2 very disturbing origin stories.  Whichever origin you believe to be the case it has left him with one hell of a grudge against the sea and this trailer shows how much he really dislikes Aquaman.

Clad in a black suit and with an insectoid helmet, Black Manta uses rockets, harpoons and a jetpack for his fighting, not to mention the lasers which he can fire from the eyes on his helmet.  He’s fast, powerful, has some awesome long range attacks, can dish out combos like the best of them and can fly using his jetpack.  His abilities may provide a challenge for some of the slower close combat characters but hopefully he will have some weakness that can be exploited.

Injustice 2’s second Fighter Pack will be available on the 12th September.
