Space Hulk: Tactics gets a new trailer and release date

August 20, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Get ready to cleanse the universe of the xenos this autumn as Focus Home Interactive announce the release of Space Hulk: Tactics on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on 9th October.  Based on the classic Games Workshop board game, Space Hulk: Tactics will take players to the 41st millenium for some alien arse kicking action.  To celebrate the announcement, a new trailer has been released and can be seen below.

Space Hulk: Tactics is a faithful adaptation of the Space Hulk boardgame that saw players lead a squad of Space Marine Terminators into derelict vessels known as space hulks to wipe out infestations of Genestealers.  These insidious members of the Tyranids hide within pipes waiting to welcome anything that comes on board with sharp teeth and even sharper claws.  Fortunately, Terminators are elite, genetically modified super soldiers equipped with special Terminator heavy armour and a range of heavy weaponry.

Players will be able to experience two narrative driven campaigns from the point of view of the two factions; one campaign will put players in charge of a squad of Space Marine Terminators whilst the other will place players in control of the Genestealers.

As well as the campaign, Space Hulk: Tactics includes a mission editor that has been inspired by the clip-together nature of the board in the board game, this means that players can design and share their own maps.

Space Hulk: Tactics arrives on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on 9th October.  Pre-ordering is available now on Steam and includes a 10% discount, beta access and a unique colour and emblem variant for your marines.
