Tom Holland offers a glimpse of his Spider-Man: Far From Home costume

August 5, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man got a suit upgrade in Avengers: Infinity War thanks to Tony Stark, but it seems the web-slinger will be dropping the Iron Spider suit when he returns in his second solo movie.

Tom Holland has shared a video from the set of Spider-Man: Far From Home where he offers fans the opportunity to join him on the set of the movie, and as you can see, he’s wearing his original Homecoming costume. Check it out here…

So, could this mean that Spider-Man: Far From Home actually takes place prior to the events of Avengers: Infinity War? That’s something that has been suggested by directors Anthony and Joe Russo in the past, although most assumed those comments just an effort to preserve the ending of Infinity War prior and avoid spoiling Avengers 4.

That being said, it’s equally possible that Peter Parker just prefers his classic-looking costume – particularly as the Iron Spider suit didn’t bring him the best of luck and likely has some pretty painful memories attached to it.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released on July 5th 2019 and features the return of Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Michael Keaton (The Vulture), Zendaya (Michelle) and Jacob Batalon (Ned), while Numan Acar (Homeland) will play Dmitri (potentially the Chameleon), J.B. Smoove (Uncle Drew) has also been cast in an undisclosed role, and Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcralwer) is reportedly set to portray the villain Mysterio.
