Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2 Original Soundtracks coming to Vinyl this April

February 21, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Capcom and Laced Records have announced that the original soundtracks to Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2 will be released on Vinyl this April.  These spine chilling themes from the hugely popular games will sound all the more haunting as they play through the record player.

Resident Evil’s brooding score was composed by the Capcom Sound Team, Masami Ueda, Makoto Tomozawa and Akira Kaida and, just like the game, it became a benchmark for horror games.  The Resident Evil 2 soundtrack still has the ambient horror themes but also conveys the panic and desperation via varying musical styles.

Both soundtracks have been remastered specifically for this upcoming release and will be pressed onto deluxe double-vinyl 180g LPs, they will also come in the standard black or a special limited edition with unique marble colourways.

In total, these two albums will contain 75 tracks with 44 of those from Resident Evil and 31 from Resident Evil 2.

Both Resident Evil albums will be available this April at € 33 / $ 35 each and shipped out via Royal Mail 1st class tracking.
