Talos arrives in Marvel Puzzle Quest with Captain Marvel tie-in

March 16, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Talos the Skrull Warlord, the most devious spy in all of the Skrull Empire, is now available on Marvel Puzzle Quest as a 4 star character.  With his ability for shapeshifting and stunning opponents, Talos is one character fans will want on their roster.

Talos comes with several unique abilities that will make him an invaluable member of any team.  These abilities are:

  • Stunning Blow – With this ability Talos is able to stun enemies with his stun baton and leave those he hits stunned for two turns.  Not only does this leave the enemy stunned but it also creates a Blue 3 turn Countdown tile that destroys 2 AP in the enemy team’s strongest colour.
  • Access Granted – Using his shapeshifting ability Talos is able to disguise himself and infiltrate the enemy for access to their plans.  To do this, Talos can create 1 Trap tile to shapeshift into his target opponent then, while the tiles are on the board, can steal 1 AP of that enemies strongest colour with every match.
  • A Skill Unmatched – This is a passive Black power and can leave his opponents helpless.  With every AP that Talos has more of in the opposing team’s strongest colour, his match damage will increase by 7%.  This can increase to 10% (to a maximum of 150%) if Talos has shapeshifted.

Talos is available now in Heroes for Hire and Limited Vault and a featured event, ‘Webbed Wonder’, makes it’s way to gamers on 18th March.

Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.

Captain Marvel is being directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Mississippi Grind) and sees Brie Larson (Kong: Skull Island) leading the cast as Carol Danvers alongside Samuel L. Jackson (The Avengers), Ben Mendelsohn (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy), Lee Pace (Guardians of the Galaxy), Lashana Lynch (Fast Girls), Gemma Chan (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them), Algenis Perez Soto (Sambá), Rune Temte (Eddie The Eagle), McKenna Grace (I, Tonya), Annette Bening (American Beauty), Ana Ayora (The Big Wedding), Vik Sahay (Chuck), Kenneth Mitchell (Star Trek: Discovery), Chuku Modo (The Good Doctor), Clark Gregg (The Avengers) and Jude Law (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald).
