The Mandalorian gets five character posters, first episode said to contain “dramatic Star Wars-universe spoiler”

October 28, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

With just two week’s to go until The Mandalorian premieres on Disney+, five new character posters have been released for the Star Wars series featuring its titular Bounty Hunter (Pedro Pascal), Cara Dune (Gina Carano), Greef Carga (Carl Weathers), IG-11 (Taika Waititi), and what seems to be a first look at Nick Nolte’s rumoured Ugnaught character; check them out here…

Meanwhile, in other news from the hotly-anticipated series, The New York Times is reporting that Disney won’t be sending out any screeners to the media ahead of the show’s premiere “in order to protect ‘any surprises and plot twists'” and that the first episode is said to contain “a dramatic Star Wars-universe spoiler and revelation.”

So, what could that spoiler be? We’ll just have to wait until November 12th to find out… well, apart from those of us in the UK. We’ll find out next year some time, assuming the show’s released on this side of the Pond by then.

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

The Mandalorian sees Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) leading a cast that includes Gina Carano (Deadpool), Carl Weathers (Rocky), Nick Nolte (Afflication), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Omid Abtahi (American Gods), Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), Ming-Na Wen (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Natalie Tena (Game of Thrones), Bill Burr (F Is for Family), Mark Boone Junior (Batman Begins), Julia Jones (Westworld) and Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man).
