Alita: Battle Angel producer offers advice to fans who are hoping for a sequel

December 3, 2019 by Liam Waddington

Despite a fan petition by the self-titled ‘Alita Army’ which continues to grab signatures, Disney has still not announced a sequel to Alita: Battle Angel after acquiring Fox back in February.

However, in an interview with CinemaBlend, Alita: Battle Angel producer Jon Landau has advised fans to continue to pressure Disney to greenlight a sequel:

“What I think the Alita Army should do is keep peppering our family now at Disney and [let them know] how important it is to have another Alita movie and hopefully we’ll venture there one day.”

Rosa Salazar, who took on the character of Alita, is far from giving up the role after she shared her enthusiasm earlier in the year and wants to play Alita until her “last breath”:

“I would play Alita ‘til my last breath. I would, and thanks to the performance capture technology, I probably could.”

Do you want to see a sequel to Alita: Battle Angel? Do you think it will happen? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @flickeringmyth…
