Cats cleans up at the 2020 Golden Raspberry Awards

With the ceremony cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation have now announced the “winners” of the 2020 Razzie Awards, with Universal Pictures’ critically-derided box office disaster Cats cleaning up with six awards in total.

As well as collecting Worst Picture, Tom Hooper’s nightmarish adaptation of the stage musical received Worst Director (Tom Hooper), Worst Screenplay, Worst Supporting Actor (James Corden), Worst Supporting Actress (Rebel Wilson), and Worst Screen Combo.

John Travolta (The Fanatic / Trading Paint) and Hilary Duff (The Haunting of Sharon Tate) were named Worst Actor and Worst Actress respectively, while Rambo: Last Blood picked up two awards in Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel and Worst Reckless Disregard for Human Life and Public Property, and the Razzie Redeemer award – highlighting previous Razzie winners who have come back from critical and commercial failures – went to Eddie Murphy for his role in Dolemite Is My Name.
