Musical adaptation Everybody’s Talking About Jamie gets a trailer and poster

Lionsgate has released a poster and trailer for the upcoming musical drama Everybody’s Talking About Jamie. Directed by Jonathan Butterell, the film is based on the stage musical of the same name and follows 16 year old Jamie (Max Harwood) as he pursues his dream of becoming a drag queen.

Joining Harwood is the cast of the musical are Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Patel, Shobna Gulati, Ralph Ineson, Adeel Akhtar, Samuel Bottomley, Sharon Horgan and Richard E. Grant.

Jamie New is 16 and doesn’t quite fit in—instead of pursuing a “real” career he dreams of becoming a drag queen. Uncertain about his future, Jamie knows one thing for sure: he is going to be a sensation. Supported by his loving mom and his amazing friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is set for release on February 26th.
