New trailer for Mary Elizabeth Winstead action thriller Kate

August 5, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

Netflix has released a new poster and trailer for the upcoming action thriller Kate, ahead of its arrival on the streaming service next month. Directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, the film stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as an assassin who has less than 24 hours to exact her revenge after she is poisoned; take a look here…

Meticulous and preternaturally skilled, Kate is the perfect specimen of a finely tuned assassin at the height of her game. But when she uncharacteristically blows an assignment targeting a member of the yakuza in Tokyo, she quickly discovers she’s been poisoned, a brutally slow execution that gives her less than 24 hours to exact revenge on her killers. As her body swiftly deteriorates, Kate forms an unlikely bond with the teenage daughter of one of her past victims.

Kate is directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan (The Huntsman: Winter’s War) and stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Woody Harrelson, Michiel Huisman, Tadanobu Asano, Jun Kunimura, Miyavi, Miku Martineau and Kazuya Tanabe.

Kate will premiere on Netflix on September 10th.
