During yesterday’s D23 Expo, Disney debuted the first trailer for the upcoming small screen adaptation of Rick Riordan’s book series Percy Jackson and the Olympians which stars The Adam Project’s Walker Scobell in the title role as the 12-year-old demigod; watch it below…
As per What’s On Disney Plus, Percy Jackson and the Olympians“tells the fantastical story of Percy Jackson, a 12-year-old modern demigod who’s just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. With help from his friends Grover and Annabeth, Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.”
Percy Jackson and the Olympians sees Walker Scobell lead the cast as Percy Jackson alongside Aryan Simhadri and Leah Sava Jeffries as his friends Grover Underwood and Annabeth Chase. The series also stars Virginia Kull as Sally Jackson, Glynn Turman as Chiron/Mr. Brunner, Megan Mullally as Alecto/Mrs. Dodds, Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus/Mr.D, Timm Sharp as Gabe Ugliano,; Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue, and Olivea Morton as Nancy Bobofit.
