Ahead of its UK release this January, a trailer, poster and images have been released for director Ali Abbasi’s acclaimed crime thriller Holy Spider.
The film follows journalist (Zar Amir Ebrahimi) as she investigates the murders of sex workers at the hands of a serial killer (Mehdi Bajestani) who believes he is on a divine mission in the Iranian holy city of Mashhad. Watch the trailer below…
Set in the holy city of Mashhad, Ali Abbasi’s haunting latest feature follows journalist Rahimi (Zar Amir Ebrahimi), as she investigates the murders of several sex workers by the ‘Spider Killer’, who believes he is on a divine mission to cleanse the city of sinners.
