Norman Reedus joins John Wick spinoff Ballerina

December 14, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

Now that he has a little time out from grunting his way around Georgia on a motorcycle as The Walking Dead‘s Daryl Dixon, or being motion-captured for Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2, Norman Reedus has joined the ever-expanding cast of John Wick Spinoff Ballerina.

Deadline reveals that Reedus will star in the Ana de Armas-led action film alongside Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Keanu Reeves, a.k.a John Wick himself, in a franchise tethering cameo.

Ballerina producer Erica Lee told Deadline that “We’re huge fans of Norman, and we’re confident that the fans will be just as excited as we are that he’s joining the Wick universe. He’ll make an incredible addition to Ballerina.”

Underworld and Die Hard 4.0‘s Len Wiseman is directing from a script written by Rebel Moon‘s Shay Hatten, which tells the story of a young woman with killer skills who uses said skills to get revenge when hitmen kill her family.

At the time of writing Ballerina has no release date, but John Wick: Chapter 4 hits cinemas on 24th March, 2023.
