Comic Book Review – Reyn #5

May 16, 2015 by Andrew Newton

Andrew Newton reviews Reyn #5…

On the run from Venn, Reyn and Seph delve deeper into the enemy stronghold and make a shocking discovery.

It’s that time again, time for me to get all excited as I drool my way through every wonderfully drawn page of the latest issue of Reyn.  I can’t believe we are only on issue 5, there has been so much squeezed into these issues but each has been very generous on quality.

I know I comment on the quality of Kel Symons’ writing every review but it really is top notch story telling.  I also enjoy the art style from Nate Stockman which from previous reviews you probably already know. But I like its clear strongly drawn characters and the detail he puts into practically every frame.

In the last issue Reyn and his companions had ventured through into the Venn Stronghold and discovered more familiar items than they expected to find. They also found something a bit more of a mystery before the Venn discovered them.

This week’s issue finds Reyn and his friends defending themselves from the Venn but will this lead to escape or capture? Will Reyn discover anything else about the person only he can see and hear?  What else is waiting to be discovered in the Stronghold?

This is another excellent issue from Image and a truly marvellous series that I’d strongly recommend you invest some time in.
