Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt ending after season 4 with possible movie finale, first clip and images released

In some surprising news, Deadline has reported the upcoming fourth season of Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will be its final season. to wrap the series up, Netflix and Universal Television are reportedly talking of making a movie that will serve as a proper finale.

Netflix announced the fourth season of the hit series would be split into two part, with Part 1 premiering later this month on May 30 and Part 2 some time later in 2018. The series is currently in production of its second part and once that is completed, series co-creators and writers Tina Fey and Robert Carlock are expected to script the movie finale.

In other Kimmy Schmidt related news, Netflix released the first clip  and a batch of images for the fourth season, showing the opening scene from the first episode. Check them out below.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt follows Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper) as she continues to adjust to the 21st century and learn more about who she really is. Joining Kimmy on her journey are her best friend and roommate, Titus Andromedon (Tituss Burgess); her former-employer-turned-friend Jacqueline White (Jane Krakowski); and landlord Lillian Kaushtupper (Carol Kane).
