Watch the first gameplay trailer for Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II

June 12, 2018 by Andrew Newton

In last night’s Sony press conference at E3 2018 we were treated to a brand new gameplay trailer for Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II.  As many things in life the trailer starts with some music, a long lingering kiss and arrows, guns and machetes.  Watch this new trailer below…

The Last of Us Part II once again stars Ellie a good few years after the original game was set and a very different world it looks too.  Beginning with a more peaceful setting, the trailer features Ellie talking to friends at a social gathering and being whisked onto the dance floor by a possible romantic interest.  As the kiss happens the scene changes to a dark forest setting where we see Ellie using stealth tactics in order to get closer to a violent gang of thugs.  Without going through every gun shot and knife slash, Ellie is a very capable fighter and obviously has been trained well by Joel, who we don’t get to see in the trailer although possible referred to.

Sony have already had huge success with their exclusive titles on the PS4 (God of War) and this next big budget title will boost popularity of the console even more.

Looking forward to The Last of Us Part II?  Leave a comment below and let us know….
