Konami have announced they will be bringing Hyper Sports R to the Nintendo Switch. If you haven’t already guessed, this is a sports sim title that will see players compete in a number of different individual and team sports. Those of you of a certain age may recall Hyper Sports from back in the day and the keyboard mashing that was involved on the old 8bit computers. Hyper Sports R will see players choose from over 20 different characters and compete in a variety of different sports including an assortment of track and field events, beach volleyball and swimming.
The game will feature several fun game modes including a Quick Play mode that sees players compete with up to four friends in a quick game and a Single Player mode which will have players build up and train a team by completing various competitions and character story lines.
Budding athletes can take part using the Switch’s Joy-Con for classic control or choose motion controls during Quick Play mode for a more intuitive gameplay.
