Hugh Jackman doesn’t think “the world really wants to see Deadpool with Wolverine”

November 22, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Hugh Jackman has ruled out the possibility of his Wolverine teaming up with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, despite the latter’s ongoing efforts to convince him otherwise.

Ever since Deadpool arrived in cinemas, fans have been clamoring for a Wolverine/Deadpool team up, starring both Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. This desire has even continued since Jackman retired from the role of Wolverine following last year’s Logan.

Jackman, however, says it’s not going to happen, no matter how persistent Reynolds is. Speaking to People, Jackman said: “Ryan is relentless. He keeps coming back to me in all these ways, shapes and forms, I just said, ‘You know, I just don’t think the world really wants to see Deadpool with Wolverine.’ Maybe a cameo from Deadpool? I just think it runs over it for Deadpool.”

Jackman might just be underestimating how much fans would be interested in seeing the two characters on screen together. What do you think? Should Jackman give in and make a film with Reynolds’ Deadpool, assuming the opportunity is still there following Disney’s Fox acquisition?
