Jeremy Renner says it’s unlikely we’ll see The Avengers team with Guardians of the Galaxy

August 26, 2015 by admin

With Phase Three building towards The Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 & 2 and Thanos appearing in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy, many fans assumed we would be seeing Earth’s Mightiest Heroes crossing paths with the Guardians.

Well, according to Jeremy Renner. We probably won’t.

“You’ll be eighty years old by then, and I won’t be Hawkeye anymore,” he told the crowd at Wizard World Comic Con about a possible crossover. “I’ll be Dead Guy.”

Gunn himself shot down rumours of the two teams getting together after the release of his Phase Two movie.

The next step in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be Captain America: Civil War, which sees Anthony and Joe Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) directing a cast that includes Marvel Cinematic Universe veterans Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Falcon), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton/Hawkeye), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier), Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch), Paul Bettany (The Vision), Don Cheadle (James Rhondes/War Machine), Paul Rudd (Scott Lang/Ant-Man), Emily VanCamp (Sharon Carter) and Frank Grillo (Brock Rumlow/Crossbones) and William Hurt (General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross) alongside new additions Chadwick Boseman (Get on Up) as T’Challa/Black Panther, Daniel Bruhl (Rush) as Baron Zemo, Martin Freeman (Sherlock) and Tom Holland (The Impossible) as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
