Green Book wins top honour at the 2019 PGA Awards

Well, it looks like we may have a new front runner for the Best Picture award at the Academy Awards, with the Producer’s Guild of America honouring the Peter Farrelly-directed Green Book with the top honour, The Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, at the 2019 PGA Awards.

Over the past 30 years, every PGA winner has been nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars, with twenty going on to win the Award including last year’s The Shape of Water.

Other winners on the night included Won’t You Be My Neighbor? (Best Documentary), Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Best Animated Feature), The Americans (Best Drama), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Best Comedy) and The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story (Best Limited Series) and Fahrenheit 451 (Best TV Movie).
