Frank Grillo joins The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard

Variety is reporting that Frank Grillo (Captain America: Civil War, Donnybrook) has signed on to star in the action comedy sequel The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, joining returning cast members Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek.

Directed once again by Patrick Hughes, the sequel will see Reynolds’ bodyguard Michael Bryce enlisted by hitman Darius Kincaid (Jackson) and his wife Sonia (Hayek) to join them on a mission along the Amalfi Coast. Grillo will reportedly portray an interpol agent looking to prevent a cyber attack in Europe.

Grillo has a host of projects on his slate, with the likes of Boss Level, Black and Blue, Once Upon a Time in Staten Island, Hell on the Border, Point Blank and Into the Ashes all in the can and expected to release this year.
