Sean Bean recites a touching poem for A Plague Tale: Innocence

May 16, 2019 by Andrew Newton

A Plague Tale: Innocence tells a touching story of two children’s perilous journey to safety and to celebrate, Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive have collaborated with Hollywood legend Sean Bean to create a touching and intimate video.  This new video (below) has Sean Bean reciting the poem, ‘The Little Boy Lost’, one of William Blake’s most beloved works which shares the game’s themes of childhood innocence and loss.

In A Plague Tale: Innocence players will take the role of young orphan Amicia as she journeys with her brother through the war-torn and plague ravaged streets of France in search of safety.  Players will need to guide her and her brother past a whole host of dangers, including swarms of deadly rats, soldiers and the Inquisition who relentlessly pursue the children.

With both plague and war causing the deaths of so many, rats are breeding in huge numbers and their insatiable appetites drive them to consume anything in their path.  The only way for Amicia and Hugo to get past these deadly swarms is to use fire to their advantage.  However, the inquisition, led by the brutal commander Lord Nicholas, is not so easy to avoid.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
