Katherine McNamara upped to series regular for Arrow’s final season

After making her debut in a future Star City last year, The CW has announced that Katherine McNamara has been upped to a series regular for the upcoming eighth and final season of The CW’s Arrow.

The Shadowhunters actress originally appeared in the season seven flash-forward scenes as the mysterious cage fighter Blackstar, before being revealed as Mia Smoak, the daughter of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards).

The shortened final season of Arrow is set to premiere on October 15th and the show will air on Tuesday
nights alongside fellow Arrowverse series The Flash.
