Planet Zoo early access Beta date revealed with new pre-order trailer

August 21, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Frontier Developments have announced that the early access Beta for Planet Zoo will arrive on 24th September exclusively for those who pre-order Planet Zoo Deluxe Edition.  The Beta will run until 8th October and consist of the first scenario from the game’s Career mode and one of the many biomes from the Franchise mode.  A new trailer for the game has been revealed at Gamescom 2019 and can be seen below.

The Planet Zoo Beta includes the games first career scenario which will introduce players to zoo management and a selection of animals from the many included in the full game.  Players will also get to meet the cast of colourful characters they will encounter during the Career mode.

The Beta’s Franchise mode is where sandbox meets simulation and will include the game’s unique online Animal Exchange which allows players to trade animals with others to increase the genetic diversity, just like real zoos do.  In the full game the Franchise mode will include Daily Challenges and weekly Community Goals that aim to bring the community together.

Planet Zoo will release on 5th November and is available to pre-order now.  The Deluxe Edition is also available to pre-order and will include three exclusive animals to add to their zoo at launch, these are the Komodo Dragon, Pygmy Hippopotamus and Thomson’s Gazelle.
