Chained: A Victorian Nightmare retells Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

December 13, 2019 by Andrew Newton

LA based publisher MWM Interactive has announced they will be releasing Chained: A Victorian Nightmare, a VR retelling of Charles Dickens’ festive favourite A Christmas Carol, later this month on Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Steam later this month.  A trailer for this immersive Christmas experience can be seen below….

Chained: A Victorian Nightmare takes players to Victorian London where they will experience the eerie atmosphere of a city on a journey self discovery.  Staying faithful to the classic novel by Charles Dickens, players will confront their past, present and future from the comfort of their own homes.

“‘Chained’ is the result of theater, cinema and interactive entertainment coming together to create a singular experience that provides a deeper and more personal experience of this classic tale,” said MWMi’s Ethan Stearns. “At MWM Interactive, we’re focused on working with creators to tell great narratives no matter the technical medium.”

A haunting VR adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic tale, A Christmas Carol. You will be at the center of the story. It’s time to disbelieve your senses. Sit back and prepare to be transported into a bone-chilling journey of self reflection. You’ll confront your past, present and future.

Heed the spirits warnings as your future is yet unwritten.

Look out for Chained: A Victorian Nightmare arriving later this month on HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Steam.
