Superman & Lois TV series casts Super Sons Jonathan and Jordan Kent

February 8, 2020 by Gary Collinson

After receiving a full season order from The CW last month, we’ve now got our first piece of new casting news for the upcoming Arrowverse spinoff Superman & Lois starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch.

As revealed by Deadline, young actors Jordan Elsass (Little Fires Everywhere) and Alexander Garfin (The Peanuts Movie) are set to portray Clark and Lois’ teenage sons Jonathan and Jordan Kent.

Jonathan is described as “clean-cut, modest and kind-hearted, with an aw-shucks attitude that somehow doesn’t seem dated” while Jordan “is wildly intelligent, but his mercurial temperament and social anxiety limits his interactions with people, and consequently, Jordan prefers to spend most of his free time alone, playing video games.”

Superman & Lois has been written by Todd Helbing (The Flash) and will pick up events post-Crisis on Infinite Earths as the couple deal with the stresses and pressures of being working parents in today’s society, which are of course magnified by the fact that Clark is also the Man of Steel.

As casting on the show continues, PrimeTimer has got its hands on a copy of the pilot script, revealing that the episode will also feature appearances from Martha Kent, General Sam Lane, Lana Lang and her husband Kyle Cushing. Expect more casting news imminently.
