Gal Gadot’s Diana takes down two bad guys in Wonder Woman 1984 image

March 3, 2020 by Amie Cranswick

Total Film has revealed a new image from Patty Jenkins’ upcoming DCEU sequel Wonder Woman 1984 which gives us another look at Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince taking down a couple of bad guys; check it out here…

Meanwhile, Jenkins also shared a few comments with the outlet, explaining how the sequel is more ambitious and complex than its 2017 predecessor:

“[It was] a much harder movie to shoot… I was more ambitious with it. So doing all the stunts for real on wires and things, it’s extremely complicated and time-consuming. And everybody involved knows that you could say, ‘Oh, forget it, we’ll just do it in CG.’ So it was difficult in a new way [compared to the first film]. We weren’t trying to make a mimicry [of the ’80s]. We were trying to make a movie as if it was a grounded movie in the ’80s.”

The sequel reunites Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins with stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Ewen Bremner (Charlie), Said Taghmaoui (Sameer), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), Robin Wright (General Antiope), Lisa Loven Kongsli (Menalippe), Doutzen Kroes (Venelia) and new additions Kristen Wiig (Ghostbusters) as Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah, Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) as Maxwell Lord, and Natasha Rothwell (Love, Simon), Ravi Patel (Master of None, Grandfathered) and Gabriella Wilde (Doctor Who, Poldark) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.

Wonder Woman 1984 is set for release on June 5th 2020.
