It’s been a while since we’ve seen any footage from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (i.e. the Comic-Con trailer from back in July), and with the film’s release date now just a little over four months away, it seems we won’t have long to wait before we get another peek at the DC superhero epic.
Last month, director Zack Snyder suggested a new trailer is on the horizon, and now producer Charles Roven has echoed that sentiment in an interview with Collider, saying that: “”Honestly, you’re going to be seeing something very soon. I don’t know how you define soon but certainly before the end of the year, how about that?”

Roven also addressed the stacked cast of characters, stating that: “I don’t think that’s an issue for this film at all. I really don’t… I think that the film is called Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, so there’s a reason it’s called Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and not Dawn of Justice: Batman v Superman. So you’re gonna invest mostly in Batman v Superman and I think that you’ll find other characters in there that you hopefully will want to see more of.”
Roven also seemed to tease an extended cut of the movie, adding: “I don’t know if you’ll ever get the 4-hour version, but there may be something that’s coming along that might be slightly less long than that.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for release on March 25th 2016 and sees Zack Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Harry Lennix (General Swanwick) and Christina Wren (Carrie Farris) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Jena Malone (Sucker Punch), Holly Hunter (The Piano), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) as Mercy Graves and Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) in as-yet-unrevealed.
