Paranormal Activity producer would love to see the franchise’s original star return for sequel

June 25, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Paranormal Activity producer Jason Blum says he would love to see the original star of the franchise return the new film.

In 2019, we learned that Jason Blum is producing a new film in the long-running Paranormal Activity franchise. Now, Blum has said that he would like to see the original star Katie Featherston return for the film.

Featherston – who plays the character of Katie – has appeared in the majority of the films in the franchise, sometimes as a mere cameo to help connect the films together. Speaking on Fandom, Blum said about Featherston:

“You’re right, I couldn’t tell you if I knew. We’re gonna do the movie. We’re developing the movie, but I don’t know where exactly the story’s going to land. We’re talking about different things. A hundred percent, we’re making a movie, we just haven’t gotten that far with the development. But I’ll tell you this. I would love to bring her back and she’s a great actress and she’s an old friend and I hope we get to bring her back.”
