Mark Hamill says he will never forget the reactions to Luke Skywalker’s appearance in The Mandalorian

Mark Hamill, the actor best known for his iconic role of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, says he will never forget the reactions to Luke’s cameo in The Mandalorian.

For many Star Wars fans around the world, seeing a prime Luke Skywalker tear through a ship full of Darktroopers during the season two finale of The Mandalorian was a very emotional experience.

The internet has been replete with emotional reactions to the scene and Mark Hamill couldn’t be more pleased. Posting a video compilation of people reacting to the scene for the first time, Hamill shared his joy at seeing such an intense response to the memorable moment:

“#NoWords-Seeing fan’s reactions to Luke’s return is something I will cherish forever. Their anticipation seeing the X-Wing/Ep. 6 Robes/a lightsaber/a GREEN lightsaber/a gloved hand/an ungloved hand/a Force choke/R2-was OVERWHELMING & very moving to me-1/2

“I’m a fan myself, so I knew true fans would love it, but to see them thrilled beyond belief with the exuberance of children, whooping it up, screaming in ecstasy, the tears of sheer joy…it’s a rollercoaster of emotions I’ll never forget. #I_LOVE_UPFs 2/2.”

Hamill is right, die-hard Star Wars fans were always going to go crazy seeing Luke turn up in this manner. It’s something many Mandalorian viewers were hoping for given the direction the story went but the fact it actually happened was quite the surprise. Hopefully, we get to see more of Luke during this time period, perhaps with little Grogu close by as he partakes in his Jedi training.
