2021 Guardian Games starts today in Destiny 2

April 20, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Guardian Games has returned to Destiny 2 today allowing players to compete as their favourite class.  Hunters, Warlocks and Titans will go head-to-head in a number of challenges with closing ceremonies taking place between 7th-9th May.  A new trailer below shows players the excitement that’s heading their way over the next few weeks.

Thanks to a cease fire with the Cabal Empress Caiatl, Vanguard leader Zavala has raised the banners and called for the competition to begin again and players will compete in challenges that will test their bravery, skill and resolve.  These challenges will see players complete Contender Cards and Triumphs and gain laurels with podium ceremonies taking place at the end of each week.

Throughout the Guardian Games players can earn several rewards, including Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun and catalyst, an Exotic Sparrow, Legendary class items, two emblems and two shaders.  There will also be Bungie Rewards for those players who finish the opening quest and pick up the Guardian Games track jacket, plus those who attend the Closing Ceremony will get a gold pin commemorating winning class.

The Guardian Games Closing Ceremony will take place from the 7th to 9th May with a trophy displayed in the Tower to showcase the winning class for the next year.

Log in to Destiny 2 and take part in this year’s Guardian Games.
