Westworld resumes production on fourth season

August 4, 2021 by Ricky Church

HBO has resumed production on season four of Westworld after being shut down for two weeks due to a positive Covid-19 test from one of its crew members, according to Deadline.

Filming resumed last week and is currently taking place at Melody Ranch in Newhall, California, a location the series has shot in several times in his previous seasons.

While plot details around the fourth season are being kept under wraps, it will pick up on the events of the third season Evan Rachel Wood’s rebel host Dolores worked with Aaron Paul’s human war veteran Caleb to bring down a nefarious computer system. Deadline reports the fourth season will see the first interaction between Tessa Thompson’s Charlotte Hale/Dolores-clone and Caleb as he becomes “a pivotal player in waging a possible war against humans in the real world which has been infiltrated by the park’s robots.”

When exactly Westworld‘s fourth season will premiere, along with who else from the ensemble cast will return, has not been revealed yet, though it is safe to say Thandie Newton’s Maeve, Ed Harris’ William and Jeffrey Wright’s Bernard will be back once again alongside Thompson and Paul.
