David Ramsey returning to the Arrowverse for Justice U series

January 17, 2022 by Gary Collinson

The CW has tapped David Ramsey to assemble a new team of DC superheroes, with the Arrow star set to reprise his role as John Diggle for Justice U, a new Arrowverse series in development from Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television.

The logline for the potential series reads: “After years of fighting alongside masked heroes, Diggle embarks on a new mission to recruit five young meta humans to live undercover as freshmen at a prestigious university. There he will oversee their education and train them to become the heroes of tomorrow.”

Ramsey originated his role as Diggle in Arrow, and has since went on to appear in Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Batwoman and Superman & Lois, as well as directing episodes across multiple Arrowverse shows. Should Justice U make it to the pilot stage, Ramsey will pull double duty both in front of and behind the camera.

Are you excited about the prospect of another Arrowverse entry in Justice U, or is this likely to be another Green Arrow and the Canaries that fails to make it out of the starting blocks? Let us know on our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
