Jesse Eisenberg says Lex Luthor hair loss scene in Batman v Superman is the best of his career

January 9, 2016 by Justin Cook

Although the first official image (released back in March) of Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice showed the villain with what is perhaps his most well-known physical trait, a completely bald head, the character has been seen sporting a full head of fairly long hair in all of the promotional images and trailers unveiled since then. This, obviously, has caused many fans to wonder how Luthor loses his hair in Dawn of Justice, and while that question probably won’t be answered until the film hits theaters, during an in-depth interview with the Los Angeles Times, Eisenberg offered up an interesting comment about the scene in which he goes bald.

When initially asked about his hair loss scene, Eisenberg, referring to how Warner Bros. wants to keep the film’s details under wraps, jokingly said, “Literally, there would be one of those Wile E. Coyote things where the piano drops from the sky randomly on his head. That’s what will happen to me.” However, he proceeded to share his excitement over the scene, saying, “When you see the movie, you’ll see. It’s the greatest scene that I’ve ever gotten to take part in — it accounts for the change in hair.”

Eisenberg has appeared in some truly great films over the past few years, including Adventureland, Zombieland, The Social Network and The End of the Tour, so him saying that a scene in Dawn of Justice involving his change in hair is a career highlight is certainly high praise. We are just a couple of months away from seeing the scene Eisenberg is referring to with our own two eyes.

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
