Cate Blanchett is Lydia Tár in trailer for Todd Field’s TÁR

Ahead of its world premiere this September at the 79th Venice Film Festival, Focus Features has released a poster and trailer for TÁR, the psychological drama from writer-director Todd Field and starring Cate Blanchett.

From producer-writer-director Todd Field comes TÁR, starring Cate Blanchett as the iconic musician Lydia Tár. TÁR examines the changing nature of power, its impact and durability in our modern world.

Joining Cate Blanchett in the cast of TÁR are Noémie Merlant, Nina Hoss, Sophie Kauer, Julian Glover, Allan Corduner, and Mark Strong.

TÁR arrives in cinemas on October 7th.
