Squid Game announces its cast for season 2

Prepare to enter the Squid Games once again as we finally have more details about Squid Game Season Two, which has been under wraps for months.

During TUDUM, a fan event hosted in Brazil, we learned more about the upcoming Squid Game: Season 2. While the plot details are still being held, the casting announcements have recently flooded social. 

Returning for another outing are Lee Jung-jae as Seong Gi-hun, Lee Byung-hun as the Front Man, Gong Yoo as the recruiter, and Wi Ha-jun as Hwang Jun-ho. The new additions include Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-nuel, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun in undisclosed roles.

Squid Game proved to be a phenomenon, pulling in 1.65 billion hours of viewing in 28 days. They’d go on to the Emmys, where they landed a historic 14 nominations; the series took home a total of six wins, 

During TUDUM, we also saw Netflix confirm the unscripted competition spinoff Squid Game: The Challenge is set to premiere in November.


Squid Game 2 has no set release date but is rumored to premiere in late 2024 or early 2025.
