Baywatch has added some comic relief, with Variety reporting that Jon Bass (Big Tim in Hollywood, FL) has joined the cast of the upcoming big screen remake. Bass will play Ronnie, a character who is described as “funny, awkward and a skilled disco dancer. He falls in love with Kelly Rohrbach’s C.J. Parker character at the beach”.
Baywatch is being directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) and sees Dwayne Johnson (Fast & Furious 7) leading a cast that also includes Zac Efron (Dirty Grandpa), Alexandra Daddario (San Andreas), Kelly Rohrbach (Two and a Half Men), Priyanka Chopra (Quantico) and Ilfenesh Hadera (Billions). The film is set for release on May 19th 2017.
