Gangs of Sherwood unveils gameplay trailer

September 30, 2023 by Andrew Newton

Nacon and Appeal Studios have released a new trailer for their upcoming action-adventure Gangs of Sherwood. This new trailer reveals the first few minutes of gameplay and sees the outlaws invade Kirklees Keep, home of the villainous prioress.  Watch the new trailer below…

Ahead of the release of Gangs of Sherwood on Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 5 and PC, there will be a special Steam demo available for 5th to 16th October.  This will provide an ideal training session for players before their revolt against the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Gangs of Sherwood is a story-driven action adventure for 1-4 players in a completely reimagined world of Robin Hood. Robin and his Merry Men are still heroes, the Sheriff is still the villain but it all takes place in a world where science has met fantasy thanks to the power of the Philosopher’s Stone.

Play as either Marian, Friar Tuck, Little John or even Robin Hood himself and rob from the rich to free the people. Each character has their own unique set of skills and can be combined with others to perform spectacular combos. Use these different skills to defeat formidable enemies, take down terrifying bosses and foil the Sheriff’s plans in his very own flying castle.

Players will be able to unlock new upgrades by improving their reputation with the downtrodden population. Captured gold doesn’t always have to be given to the poor and can also be used to obtain better equipment from merchants.

Gangs of Sherwood releases on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on 2nd November and a playable demo arrives on Steam on 5th October.
