Classic survival horror Alisa coming to console this February

January 10, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Top Hat Studios and developer Casper Croes have announced that their 90’s survival horror homage Alisa will be released on consoles on 6th February.  This throwback to PS1/N64 low-poly survival horror will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and the Xbox family of consoles.  Watch the new trailer for Alisa: Developer’s Cut below….

Alisa: Developer’s Cut takes players back to the days of low polygon animations, pre-rendered backgrounds and fixed camera angles for a survival horror set in an old, bizarre, Victorian-style mansion.  To gain that true authentic look, the game has been developed using Unity 5 but with some technical innovations to enable it to run on modern consoles.

In this survival horror, players will follow Elite Royal Agent Alisa as she pursues a notorious thief. When she suddenly finds herself whisked away to a 1920’s style mansion inhabited by murderous, mechanised, mannequin-like beings. The task for players is simple, survive the mansion and its denizens and escape.

Alisa: Developer’s Cut features:

  • Classic Survival Horror gameplay
  • Real pre-rendered backgrounds and authentic low-poly models presented in 480p
  • Currency, items and outfits with unique player stats boosts
  • Weapon load-outs, ranging from a sabre to a blunderbuss to an SMG
  • A large variety of enemies and locations with plenty of surprises
  • Choice between modern or classic tank-controls movement styles
  • A weird sense of humour
  • A nostalgic trip to the late 1990s, right down to the voice acting
  • All the updates and content previously released for the PC version

Alisa: Developer’s Cut will be available on consoles on 6th February.
