Frazier revival renewed for second season by Paramount+

February 26, 2024 by Gary Collinson

After proving to be a hit from the streaming service, Paramount+ has announced that it has renewed the Frasier revival, with Kelsey Grammer and company set to return for a sophomore season of the updated take on the beloved sitcom.

“Kelsey made a triumphant return as one of the most iconic and beloved characters on television,” said Jeff Grossman, EVP programming at Paramount+. “The new series introduced Fraiser to a whole new generation while reminding fans of Kelsey’s truly timeless portrayal of Dr. Crane. We’re so excited to see what the creative team and superb cast serve up for season two.”

“Frasier is a love story, and I am very happy we will be allowed to continue it,” added Grammer, who leads the series alongside co-stars Jack Cutmore-Scott, Nicholas Lyndhurst, Toks Olagundoye, Jess Salgueiro and Anders Keith.

Picking up some 20 years on from the conclusion of the original Frasier, the new series “follows Dr. Frasier Crane in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfil.”

As yet, there’s no word as to when we might expect to see the second season, but the first is available to stream now on Paramount+.
