New trailer for Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream reveals October release

July 3, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Bandai Namco has released a brand new trailer for Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream that reveals more about the game’s story and also a 4th October release date.  Watch this new story trailer below…

Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream is an online co-op action adventure that takes players to the virtual reality world of Alfheim Online.  This virtual world has recently had a new system called Galaxia added that allows players to relive the past, however, when the system spirals out of control it causes a mix up in the timeline and characters from the different arcs of the Sword Art Online series are brought together to survive in this new world.  Kirito must work with fallen friends and foes and revive memories to get the timeline back on track.

Players will be able to choose from some of their favourite characters in the SAO saga and join large co-op parties of up to twenty players in cross-play raids and boss battles.  Each character has their own role to play on the battlefield and players will have to work together to ensure victory.

Digital pre-orders of the game are now available with Standard, Deluxe and Premium editions, offering a variety of rewards such as the Demon King Costume Set. Deluxe and Premium pre-orders will include a three day early access to the game prior to release.

Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream will release on Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC on 4th October.
